Cuidado com o Rabo!

Uma vez em que eu era o preletor de um congresso no interior eu tinha uma experiência que marcou a minha vida. Eu lembro esperando para a minha carona chegar e de repente o pastor me chamou para ir. Quando eu saí da casa, eu não vi nenhum carro. Somente um boi e uma carroça.......minha carona. Mas, tudo bem, eu topo qualquer aventura pelo menos uma vez. Enquanto nós estávamos indo para a igreja, uma coisa não podia escapar a minha atenção, o traseiro do boi. Foi difícil de não ver sendo menos de um metro na minha frente. Então, sendo esperto e curioso, eu perguntei o pastor sobre o traseiro do boi e se ele já se sujou assim, atrás do boi. Ele me falou que sim, uma vez, o rabo do boi levantou e, você sabe. Só sabendo isso mudou a minha viagem. Eu fique muito preocupado com o rabo do boi. Graças a Deus eu cheguei no congresso exatamente como eu saiu, limpo.

Só depois essa experiência, eu comecei pensar em como o diabo é exatamente como aquele boi. Geralmente, nós só ficamos preocupados com um boi enquanto ele está em nossa frente encarando a gente. Quando o seu chifre está pontada em nossa direção. Mas, quando ele vira, nós relaxamos pensando que ele vai embora e nós deixar em paz. Que erro grande. Cuidado com o rabo!

Geralmente é mais fácil de lutar contra o diabo quando ele está obviamente atacando a gente, mais quando ele vira as suas costas, não se relaxe. Ele vai te sujar. Eu lembro de uma vez em que eu estava assistindo ao programa de crianças na TV com a minha filha e de repente começou uma propaganda para o carnaval. Eu não percebei nada tão estranha até a minha filha me perguntou, “Papai, por que aquela mulher está nua?” Eu simplesmente respondi com “AAAAAHHHHH!!! Eu, eu, eu, eu não sei” E eu imediatamente desliguei a TV. O diabo me sujou enquanto eu não estava pronto. Eu não vi aquela chegando. E só ontem, eu estava indo para o culto de jovens e cantando do meu amor por Jesus e passei um outdoor que estava mostrando o traseiro de uma mulher, bem grande e fácil de ver. De novo, sem sendo preparado, o diabo me sujou. Eu nem vir o rabo daquela mulher, mas devia ter. E quantas vezes um irmão ou ume irmã da igreja quer falar conosco em respeito de um “pedido e oração” para aquele outro membro da igreja que está tendo dificuldades na sua vida e ele/ela continua até conta tudo para você. Todo no nome de preocupação e para que você pode orar. Já se sujou. Isso está chamado fofoca. Ou aquela piada que parece muita engraçada até, de repente, vira sujou. Cuidado com o rabo!

Geralmente, quando você começar de pegar um cheiro estranho, foge! Não esperar para o rabo levantar. Foge as tentações! Na minha opinião, a TV é muito aparecido com o traseiro do diabo. Eu não estou dizendo que todo na TV é ruim, em fim tem o GBTV. Mas, a maioria das coisas que passam na TV não presta. E se ficar lá atrás o traseiro, é só uma questão de tempo até você se sujar. Cuidado com o rabo!

Eu sei que todos de nós uma vez ou outra já nós achamos sujos sem propósito. E quando isso acontece, só existe uma coisa para fazer; corre para Deus e pedir perdão. Ele vai te limpar e te perdoar.

1João 1:9; Se confessarmos os nossos pecados, ele (Deus) é fiel e justo para nós perdoar os pecados e nos purificar de toda injustiça.

Quando o diabo vira as suas costas, não relaxe.

Não fique para trás do diabo.

Se sujar, pedir perdão, lava-se e continuar. Não desiste!

Pay attention to the Tail!

One time when I was the speaker at a crusade in the interior, I had an experience that I will never forget. I remember waiting for my ride to show when all of the sudden, the pastor called me saying that it was time to go. I found it a bit strange, as I hadn't heard the motor of any vehicle approaching. I quickly found out why as I left the house and found a bull and a cart waiting for me. But, it was all right with me. I’m willing to try anything at least once. While we were going to the crusade and conversing, one thing just couldn’t escape my attention, the rear of the bull. It was hard not to see being all of about three feet in front of me. So, out of curiosity, I asked the pastor about the situation that we found ourselves, being so very close to potential danger as I saw it, and if he had ever, well, gotten, shall we say, dirty? He told me that, yes, one time as he was going to church, the tail raised up and well, you know. Knowing this little fact changed my journey to the crusade, as I was overly preoccupied with the tail of the bull, watching for any little movement. Thank God we arrived exactly as we had left, clean.

Only after this experience, I began to think of how the devil is exactly like that bull. Generally, we are only worried when we are face to face with a bull. As soon as he turns his back, and horns, we relax, thinking that he is going to leave us in peace and unharmed. That is a huge error! Pay attention to the tail!

It is usually easier to fight the devil when he is obviously attacking us or we know that we are in a battle. But, when he turns his back, be careful. Don’t relax! He will “dirty” you. I remember one time when I was watching a children’s program with my daughter when a commercial for Carnival came on. I didn’t immediately notice anything out of the ordinary until my daughter asked me, “Daddy, why is that woman naked?” I simply responded with “AAAAAAAHHHHH!!! I, I, I, I don’t know.” I immediately turned the TV off. The devil got me when I was not prepared. I honestly didn’t see it coming. Only yesterday while I was on my way to the youth service at church and singing of my love for Jesus, I passed a billboard with a woman’s large, naked rear on it. Right there in plain view. It was impossible to miss. Once again, the devil “dirtied” me when I wasn’t ready. I didn’t see the tail on the woman, nor did I look for it, but she must have had one. And how many times has a brother or sister in the Lord sought you out to inform you of an urgent “prayer request” for one of the members of the church only to end up telling you everything that didn’t need or want to know about that person? All in the name of Christian concern and so that you can best pray for the situation. You were “dirtied.” It’s called gossip, and it’s a sin. Or what about that joke that seems so funny until the punch line that just happens to be dirty. Pay attention to the tail!

As a general rule, when you begin to smell something strange, run! Don’t wait for the tail to go up. Flee temptation! In my opinion, the TV looks an awful lot like the rear of the devil. I’m not saying that everything on the TV is bad; after all, there is GBTV. But the majority of what passes on the TV is filth and useless. If you sit behind the rear of the devil, it’s only a matter of time until you will find yourself “dirtied.” Pay attention to the tail!

I know that all of us at one time or another have found ourselves dirty without having had any intention of being that way. And when this happens, there is only one thing to do, run to God and ask for forgiveness. He wants to forgive and cleanse you.

1John 1:9; But if we confess our sins to him, he (God) is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong.

Three Hints:

When the devil turns his back, don’t relax.

Don’t stay behind the devil.

If you get “dirtied,” ask forgiveness, get cleaned up and continue on. Don’t quit!
