Pornografia na Internet: Pecado Real ou Virtual?

Eu sei o que você está pensando: “Ei, cara! Do que você está falando? Isso é um site cristão!” Pois é. E o site do nosso ministério também é. Mas, um tempo atrás, isso estava aparecendo na página inicial. Eu não sei exatamente o que aconteceu, erro no servidor, hacker, o próprio diabo, eu não sei. Mas, uma coisa eu sei, por dois dias, todos que entraram ali foram afrontados com o convite da Fabiana para entrar no quarto dela. Imagine a minha surpresa e preocupação. Isso me assustou e me fez encarar a realidade da pornografia na Internet. Isso é um problema real. Tomara que ninguém tenha sido tentado e entrado no quarto da Fabiana através do nosso site. Mas, de qualquer maneira, o perigo é real.

Olhar ou não olhar, essa é a luta. Aonde eu cresci, havia uma frase bem conhecida, “Pode olhar, só não pode tocar”. Para o raciocínio humano isso até parece uma coisa muito profunda e verdadeira, porém, nós não medimos as coisas pelo raciocínio humano.

Jesus em Mateus 5:28 falou, “quem olhar para uma mulher e desejar possuí-la já cometeu adultério no seu coração”. Jesus levou o pecado do adultério um passo à frente ao falar que só olhar e pensar de uma maneira impura é tanto pecado no seu coração quanto o ato em si. É uma coisa do coração. E essa é a coisa que importa para Jesus.

Antes, essa luta era fora da casa, na rua, na escola, no trabalho, mas, graças à tecnologia moderna, na maior parte, o computador, é bem mais fácil para você pecar com os seus olhos e pensamentos e sem sair da tua casa. Bem aí, na privacidade da tua própria casa, você pode olhar para homens e mulheres nus. Então, me diga, você acha que está tudo bem porque você está simplesmente olhando e não tocando? Obviamente, você não pode tocar porque a imagem está na tela e não no real. Mas, quantas pessoas depois de olhar foram levadas a fantasiar a respeito daquela pessoa nua na tela e acabam se masturbando? Eu acho que é bem provável que a maioria. Esse é o perigo em olhar. Ver sem querer não é o pecado. Todo dia vemos coisas que não devíamos, mas, sem ser de propósito. E nesse ponto, precisamos virar a nossa cabeça e continuar. O pecado é quando nós, de propósito, olhamos de novo e aquela imagem fica gravada na nossa mente, só para nos dar fruto mau mais tarde na forma de fantasiar e se masturbar. Meu medo é que muitos estão amarrados e presos nesses pecados tão sutis, pecados que podem ser escondidos facilmente, mas muito vergonhosos de se admitir. E, praticamente, deixando a pessoa numa prisão feita por ela mesma, para viver uma vida sem fruto e cheia de vergonha e condenação.

Pior ainda, o que acontecerá com aquele que por um tempo tem fantasiado tanto sobre uma certa situação, e o negócio real aparecer na sua frente? Depois de estar “treinando” por tanto tempo, você honestamente acha que vai ter força suficiente para enfrentá-lo ou fugir? Eu duvido. E é aí que mora o perigo.

A legalidade está dada ao diabo no ponto de olhar. Os pequenos pecados sem conserto sempre levam a pecados maiores. Aquele que não treinou para as brigas na vizinhança não vai achar força suficiente para dizer “não” no meio da guerra. Uma brechinha na porta (e isso é o que o diabo está procurando) virará uma porta completamente aberta.

Radical? Sem dúvida. Somente sendo radical nessa área vai te garantir a vitória. E deixe-me falar, Deus não está procurando crentes moles e fracos para usar, para ganhar esse mundo. Ele está procurando os crentes radicais, compromissados, santificados e santos. Ele está procurando uma geração de jovens e adolescentes que vão andar na santidade e numa unção que vai impactar esse mundo. Você é essa geração! Comece a andar em santidade e começar a utilizar a unção que Deus está colocando na sua vida. Uma unção para ganhar os perdidos, curar os enfermos e ressuscitar os mortos. Santidade é uma decisão. É a sua decisão. É uma decisão entre a vida espiritual e a morte, esquentando o banco de Deus ou jogando no campo, sendo usado ou deixado para trás. Deus quer e vai te usar da maneira que você se rende a ele.

“Cuidado enquanto você está na Internet. O diabo é sujo e vai tentar te pegar de qualquer forma. Não dê brecha a ele.” E a próxima vez que Fabiana te convidar para o quarto dela, dê um “delete” nela!

Mateus 5:28 – Eu (Jesus), porém, vos digo: qualquer que olhar para uma mulher com intenção impura, no coração, já aulterou com ela.

Porno on the Internet: Real or Virtual Sin?

I know what you’re thinking, “Hey man! What are you talking about? This is a Christian site.” Yes, it is. It is also our ministries’ site. But, a while back, this was inadvertently appearing on our site. I don’t know exactly what happened, an error with our server, the devil, who knows? But, this I know, for two days, everyone who entered our site was met and affronted by Carrie and an invitation to enter into her room. You can imagine my horror, shock and preoccupation. To have this happen on our site scared me and forced me to face the reality of pornography on the Internet. It is a real problem. I just hope that no one was tempted to enter Carrie’s room because of our site. Either way, the danger is real.

To look or not to look, that is the battle. Where I grew up, there was a saying, “You can look, but you can’t touch.” And, to the human rationale, this appears to be true and quite profound. But, we cannot measure things by the human rationale, as it is very limited and subjective.

Jesus in Matthew 5:28 said, “Anyone who even looks at a woman with lust in his eye has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” Jesus took the sin of adultery one step further in that he declared that it was more than just a physical act, but also a matter of the heart and that just looking and entertaining impure thoughts was the same as having actually committed the act. It is an issue of the heart. And that is what Jesus is concerned with, our hearts.

In a time not too long ago, this issue was a fight that took place outside of the home, on the street, at school, in the workplace, but, thanks to technology, principally the computer, it is much easier for you to sin with your eyes and in your thoughts. And to think, you don’t even have to leave your home. Right there in the privacy of your own home, you can look at naked men and women. So, you tell me, do you really think that it is “OK” just looking and not touching? Obviously you cannot touch as it is only an image on your computer screen and not real. But, how many people after “only looking” have been led to fantasize about what or whom they have seen and ended up touching themselves (masturbating)? I would dare to say that the percentage is quite high. And that is the danger of looking. To “see” is not a sin. Everyday we see things that we don’t need to or even want to without bad intentions. It is at this point though, that we need to turn our heads and go our way. The sin is when we intentionally look for or look again and then that very image ends up being recorded in our minds only to bear bad fruit later in the way of fantasizing and masturbating. My fear is that there are numbers of individuals who are bound and trapped in this oh so subtle sin. This sin that so easily can be hidden yet is painfully embarrassing to admit; leaving the individual stuck in a prison built by him and as a result living a fruitless life full of shame and condemnation.

Worse yet, what will happen with the person who for so long has fantasized about a certain situation if he is confronted by the real deal? Or in other words, what if the scene that he has played out so many times in his mind actually starts happening in front of him? What will he do? After having “trained” for so long, do you honestly think that he will find the strength to resist the temptation or better yet, run? I doubt it. And therein lies the danger.

Legality is given to the devil the moment that you begin looking. Little sins left to themselves without correction or repentance always lead to bigger ones. He who has not trained himself for the fights in the neighborhood will not find the necessary strength to say “no” in the middle of the war. Just a crack in the door (and that is all the devil is looking for) will soon become a door wide open.

Radical? You bet. But, being radical in this area is the only way to guarantee a victory. And while we are here, allow me to state that God is not looking for weak or wimpy Christians to use to win this world. He is looking for radical Christians, committed, sanctified and holy. He is looking for a generation of youth that are going to walk in holiness and in an anointing that is going to impact the world. You are that generation! Start walking in holiness and start putting to use the anointing that God had given you, an anointing to win the lost, to heal the sick, to raise the dead. Holiness is a decision. It is your decision. It is a choice between spiritual life and death, sitting on the bench or getting into the game, being used by God or being left behind. God wants to use you and will to the point that you are willing to surrender to Him.

Be careful while you are on the Internet. The devil fights dirty and he will try to get you any way possible. Don’t allow him even a crack in the door. And the next time that Carrie invites you into her room, “delete” her.

2 Timothy 2:22 - Run from anything that stimulates youthful lust. Follow anything that makes you want to do right. Pursue faith and love and peace, and enjoy the companionship of those that call on the Lord with pure hearts.

Philippians 2:15-16 – You are to live clean, innocent lives as children of God in a dark world full of crooked and perverse people. Let your lives shine brightly before them.
